Piazza Maria in Munich

Discovered this restaurant by chance and wanted to eat outside because of Corona. Had a very courteous waitress (Luca). The food was very good (original pizza and burger) and overall a very nice evening. We would come back anytime. ?

Eaten very tasty.

The service wasn’t great, it took them quite some time to bring us the menus or take our orders. There aren’t a lot of options on the menu but what was especially bad, was the vegetarian pasta, which had overripe avocado, that basically ruined the whole pasta. It’s definitely not a place that suits the center of the city.

The meal was okay" However, anyone who offers a 0.2l Coke more expensive than a 0.33 beer has, in my opinion, earned real respect in terms of price policy. In a negative sense.

Food: 5 stars Service: 5 stars Ambience: 5 stars Price-performance: 4.5 stars I can't understand all of the negative reviews regarding service and food. About an hour before we wanted to eat, we called and made a reservation. A friendly voice greeted me on the phone and the reservation went smoothly. When we arrived at the restaurant we asked for our reservation and got a table in the "backyard". The waitress immediately brought us the menus and quickly took our order. Our table was still a bit dirty, but was immediately cleaned thoroughly without being asked. We got the drinks very quickly (the Lillet Wild Berry tastes very good) and the food took less than 20 minutes and was extremely good. We had ordered Spaghetti Frutti di Mare, an Insalata di Greca, a Turkey Thai Curry, a Pinsa Caprese and a Beef Carpaccio. All dishes were served at the same time so that we could eat together - that's how it should be :) All dishes were all very, very tasty and nicely presented. The service was very friendly and courteous. The restaurant as a whole is very nice, the outside area directly on Marienplatz invites you to "take a look", the restaurant itself is beautiful and modern, and the toilets are clean. We were pleasantly surprised by the "backyard", a bit like in Italy. I would still find it nice if there were a salt mill with a matching pepper mill instead of a salt shaker, but that would be grumbling on a high level. Keep it up!! :)

Unfriendly staff, ice cream went like that. We had ordered 4 ice cream cups, these came differently. No fresh products, unfortunately you could taste the canned fruit. According to the menu there should be fruit ice cream in an ice cream sundae, this was also not the case, according to the service, the menu was old and out of date. This is deception and deception. No recommendation.

Price performance disaster! And as if that wasn't enough! On 08/05/20 there were five of us eating in Piazza Maria (Marienplatz). At the end we were given a bill with drinks that we did not order. Pure rip-off! Always check your bill.

Ordered pinsa tuna take away and was disappointed. The special yeast dough had far too little salt, cheese and tomato sauce without flavor, but the price was great even for the city center. The 10% discount didn't help either

The service was rude and the staff never came to rest, but was rushed around in the restaurant the whole time, which meant that you could hardly rest when eating. No sooner had you finished eating when your plate was pulled away and you were asked if you could cash in. Good food, but totally overpriced for the crowd.

Service was very friendly and courteous. Children's chair was brought immediately and the request 1 serving and 2 plates was no problem. In terms of price, very expensive considering the performance. My salad had nothing to do with a ceasar salad. Little and poorly seasoned dressing. Sideboard is reminiscent of a pub with no experience. The meat was fried too long and dry. The pasta for the children with tomato sauce was garnished with dill ... Whatever. Too expensive for Munich standards and not worth a second visit in terms of taste. Conclusion: friendly service, clean ambience. No entry in a list for corona (don't know if this doesn't apply in every restaurant) Price-performance (quantity, taste, sideboard and price) is in no relation to each other.

Unfriendly, inflexible and extremely expensive, totally unsuitable for children. Because of this inability, we left the "shop" after a request for a small change in the pizza. Obviously, despite Corona, they don't have to get guests .....

Service very friendly. We didn't like meat, veggie burger was burnt but was generously reimbursed. Prices rather expensive.

Very pleasant and quiet place .... in the middle of Marienplatz !!! Thank you very much .... the food was excellent and really cheap for Mitte München! We felt very comfortable and would love to come back!

Very nice and stylish restaurant in the middle of Munich. Compared to other restaurants in the location it is absolutely reasonable. The food tasted good and the service was attentive. Great terrace also in the courtyard. Gladly again!

Quick service and good food

There was a warm and relaxed atmosphere inside. Nicely decorated and Roman style paintings on the wall. Great assortment of wine and spirits. The waiters were friendly, kind and always wore a genuine smile. Highly recommended, and I hope to visit again with a larger group of friends

The food was excellent and the service was super nice. The price was all right, the Pinza (a kind of pizza) cost € 13 in this size. Gladly again!

Can not understand the reviews about the service at all. Very friendly, funny and nice small talk as well as a jagged and courteous service. Coupled with the delicious and reasonably priced burgers, we were able to take a really pleasant break here on our Munich trip. Would love to come back and hereby make a recommendation.

Deserts were nice.

Every thing was delicious. The coffee and Lemon tart were so good and the waiter was very nice. Perfect service highly recommended!

Very, very unfriendly staff, we slammed the menus on the table (not handed out), didn't even ask if you wanted a second drink or would like to pay. Always stood around and talked to the man behind the closet, and and and ... In the end, the waitress wanted to tell us to tip her because she lives from the tip and only earns the minimum wage and that's how you do it in Munich ???????? NEVER AGAIN!

I like every thing in this place...food, coffees, the place is so clean and they have a nice staff... they made my day after a hard work Thanks for everyone

The Restaurant is located literally on the Marienplatz and has a nice hidden terrace in the backyard. The food is very tasty (Mediterranean), the staff kind and helpful. Great and refined atmosphere but not expensive, i loved particularly the decoration inside - the restaurant collaborates with artists! Absolutely recommendable!

I visited this place with my family and it we had a beautiful dinner. Our kids ate Pinsa (that’s their pizza) and we had very delicious salmon pasta. Waiters were friendly and fast. Prices are not too expensive for this area. We will come back! :-)

Very expensive food. Be carreful if you are a tourist as they impose you to pay an additional 10% tip whereas it is included on the price.

The service is very friendly and accommodating. Pizzas, burgers and dessert Tiramisu from Piazza Maria are recommended.

Nice small restaurant which is a bit hidden down a small alleyway. Good selection of seating inside and out, with heaters in the outdoor areas. Varied menu with numerous options for food and drink. The pizzas were very nice, especially the Caprese. Staff were friendly and helpful. Service was prompt.

They charged us 1 euro tip per item without informing, and did not give the bill.

Good quality. Portion sizes appropriate and priced for the location actually cheap. You can sit very well inside and out. Points are deducted for the waiters. Although there wasn't much going on, they made a very overwhelmed impression. An order for 4 people arrived (no lie) after 7 courses to the counter and back. The nice waiter was just not in control of the situation. Clearing away in between, accepting other orders that cannot then be processed in the order in which they are placed is bitter. I am not quite sure whether I will come here again, because it is very important to me that drinks are not brought to the table within 15 minutes.

Tasty food especially the apple strudel. Good localization of the restaurant. The waiter was very kind with us when he served us.

Managed to not know who ordered what, mixed up the ordered drinks, waited 1 hour for a pizza order that was promised 3 minutes ago. Some people walked away without paying. Staff wasn't paying attention enough. Food was decent.
